The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has published Advertisement No. 23/2026, which invites online applications for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) in Computer Science. The recruitment notification applies to appointments for the Rest of Haryana Cadre and the Mewat Cadre, which fall under the School Education Department.The recruitment exercise will be carried out as per the Haryana State Education School Cadre (Group B) Service Rules, 2012 and the Mewat District School Education (Group B) Service Rules, 2012, as amended from time to time. The applications will only be accepted online through the official HPSC website, and there will be no offline application process.Important dates and application timelineThe following are the important dates and application timeline for the recruitment process:

The application process for the recruitment will be completed in four steps, including registration, application form submission, fee payment, and application form upload.Vacancies and reservation informationA total of 1672 vacancies of PGT Computer Science have been advertised in both cadres. The break-up of vacancies is given, which includes reservations for SC, BC-A, BC-B, EWS, ESM, and PwBD categories. As per service rules, 33% horizontal reservation for women is applicable in all categories.

The split-up of SC vacancies into DSC and OSC will be advertised separately on the HPSC website.Eligibility criteria and educational qualificationsThe candidate should have an M.Sc. in Computer Science, MCA, or BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT with at least 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university. Hindi or Sanskrit up to Matric or higher is compulsory. HTET or STET qualification is necessary. The age should reflect eighteen to forty-two years as on the closing date, with relaxation applicable as per government instructions.Application fee structureThe following is the structure of the application fee as prescribed.

The fees paid for application are non-refundable.Age limit and relaxationsThe age limit prescribed for applicants is not less than eighteen years and not more than forty-two years as on the last date for online submission of applications.

The only acceptable proof for verification of age during the recruitment process is the Matriculation certificate or equivalent academic document.Examination pattern and selection procedureThe selection procedure comprises a screening test, subject knowledge test, and interview. The screening test comprises 100 MCQs for 100 marks. The subject knowledge test has 150 marks, followed by an interview with 12.5 percent weightage. The final merit will be calculated on the basis of combined scores.Pay scale and admit card informationThe selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs 47,600-1,51,100 along with allowances. The e-admit cards will be generated online, and no admit card will be dispatched by post.
