NBEMS Recruitment 2026: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a recruitment notification for 53 vacancies across Group A, Group B and Group C categories. The recruitment drive covers multiple posts, including Deputy Director (Medical), Junior Programmer, Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant. The online application process is set to begin on June 29, 2026.According to the notification, eligible candidates will be able to submit applications through the online mode until July 20, 2026. NBEMS, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will conduct the recruitment process for appointments across India. The tentative examination for all notified posts is scheduled for September 5 and 6, 2026.Vacancy details across postsA total of 53 vacancies have been announced. Of these, 39 vacancies are for Junior Assistant, seven for Stenographer, four for Junior Accountant, one for Junior Programmer and two for Deputy Director (Medical).Candidates applying for Deputy Director (Medical) must possess a recognised postgraduate medical qualification. For the Junior Programmer post, applicants should have a BTech, BE, BCA, DOEACC B or C Level qualification, or a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology. Junior Accountant candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with Mathematics or Statistics, or a commerce degree.For Stenographer and Junior Assistant posts, candidates must have passed Class 12. Stenographer applicants must also possess stenography skills, while Junior Assistant candidates should have computer knowledge.Age limits and application feeThe maximum age limit for Deputy Director (Medical) is 35 years. For Junior Programmer, Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant, the upper age limit is 27 years. Candidates applying for the Stenographer post must be between 18 and 27 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided in accordance with Government of India rules.

The application fee has been fixed at Rs 1,500 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories. No application fee will be charged from SC, ST and PwBD candidates.Selection process and examination scheduleThe selection process may include a written examination, skill or stenography test for applicable posts, document verification, medical examination and preparation of the final merit list.Interested candidates can apply through the NBEMS website once the registration portal becomes active on June 29, 2026. Applicants are required to complete the online form, upload the necessary documents and submit their applications before the closing date. The recruitment examination is tentatively scheduled for September 5 and 6, 2026.
