India were put under pressure early on but fought back strongly to register their second straight win, having opened their campaign with a victory over Bangladesh.India also secured its maiden Asian Games medal in soft tennis after Jay Meena reached the men’s singles semi-finals. Meena defeated the Philippines’ Sherwin Nuguit 4-3 in a dramatic quarter-final, fighting back after trailing 3-5 in the deciding game.
