REET Mains 2025 exam: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) will conduct the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) Mains 2025 from January 17 to January 20, 2026. The examination is being held for the recruitment of Primary (Level 1) and Upper Primary (Level 2) teachers in government schools across Rajasthan.The REET Mains admit card 2026 was released on the official RSSB website yesterday, January 12, 2026. REET Mains 2026 exam dates and paper-wise schedule

As per the official schedule released by RSSB, the examination will be conducted in multiple shifts over four days. The detailed paper-wise schedule is given below:

Candidates must report to the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit card. Late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances.

REET Mains 2026 shift timings

The REET Mains examination will be conducted in two shifts each day:

  • Morning shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM

Exact shift details, gate closing time, and exam centre address are mentioned on the admit card.

REET Mains 2026 exam pattern

The REET Mains examination is conducted for two levels:Level 1 (Primary Teachers: Classes 1 to 5)The paper includes questions from:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language I
  • Language II
  • Mathematics
  • Environmental Studies

The focus is on basic subject knowledge and teaching ability.Level 2 (Upper Primary Teachers: Classes 6 to 8)The paper includes:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy
  • Language I and Language II
  • Mathematics and Science or Social Science (as chosen by the candidate)

This level focuses on subject depth and classroom management skills.

REET Mains 2026 marking scheme

RSSB has introduced negative marking in the REET Mains examination. The marking scheme for both papers is given below:

  • Response type Marks awarded
  • Correct answer +1 mark
  • Incorrect answer –1/3 mark
  • Unattempted question –1/3 mark

Candidates are advised to attempt questions carefully due to negative marking.

Important exam day instructions

Candidates must carry:

  • A printed copy of the REET Mains admit card
  • A valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card, voter ID, passport, or driving licence
  • Electronic devices, study material, and unfair means are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
