Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 result declared

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the scores for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR-UGC NET) June 2026 examination. The score has been released on August 29, 2026, and candidates can check and download their score cards through the official website.The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted on July 17 and 18, 2026, in computer-based test mode. The examination was held across 224 cities for a total of 1,87,739 registered candidates. Of these, 1,50,057 candidates appeared for the examination.

Candidates can check their scores by visiting the official Joint CSIR-UGC NET website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, and logging in with their credentials.The result page will allow candidates to view, download and print their score cards for future reference. Direct link here.

Female candidates form the largest group

As per the NTA data, 1,11,274 female candidates registered for the examination, of whom 90,380 appeared. Among male candidates, 76,463 registered and 59,675 appeared. Two third-gender candidates registered for the examination and both appeared.Overall, 1,87,739 candidates registered for the exam, while 1,50,057 candidates appeared.

Life Sciences had the highest number of candidates

The examination was conducted across five subjects. Life Sciences had the highest number of registered and appeared candidates.

Scores released after answer key process

The NTA had displayed the provisional answer keys and recorded responses of candidates on its website from August 16 to August 18, 2026, giving candidates an opportunity to raise challenges.The challenges received from candidates were reviewed by experts. The results have now been processed using the answer keys finalised after the expert review.

Eligibility documents to be verified later

The NTA has clarified that the eligibility criteria, self-declaration and other required documents of eligible candidates will be verified by the concerned authorities as per the applicable rules and the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 information bulletin.Candidates are advised to check the official website regularly for further updates related to the examination and admission or eligibility process.
